Simply, and only, because they are a slow-digesting protein powder.  That is their claim to glory.  The rest is just marketing.  And once you understand that, then you understand what really matters and what doesn't. That is not to say that grass-fed micellar casein isn't a great choice but that is secondary.

You can choose a sports micellar casein but what does that actually mean?  What is the difference between a sports micellar casein powder and one that is not for sports?  Marketing.  You can choose chocolate and vanilla flavors but that is secondary as well.  You can choose your favorite brand, whether that is Ascent Native Fuel Micellar Casein Protein or Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100 Casein Protein Powder, or Naked Casein Protein Powder (our favorite is Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100 Casein Protein Powder) but that is up to you.
